BILL WIEMUTH

Bill Wiemuth is a
dynamic speaker, historian, writer and producer. As a sought-after presenter,
Bill has delivered thousands of historical lectures and presentations across the
United
States and
Canada.
For the past 10 years he has served primarily as a presenter for
the cruise industry serving clients such as Majestic America Line, the Delta
Queen Steamboat Company, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, and the
Portland Spirit.
He
has worked aboard vessels cruising rivers including the
Columbia, Snake,
Willamette,
Hudson,
Mississippi,
Ohio,
Tennessee, and
Cumberland – in addition to
Alaska’s
Inside
Passage.
Bill has earned his
Alaska Naturalist Level 2 certification through the
University of
Alaska - Southeast. He also
has earned his Certified Interpretive Guide credentials from the National
Association of Interpretation.
Most recently he also served as the Manager of Enrichment Programs
for Majestic America Line and worked to develop the interpretive programs for
their fleet of six vessels cruising dozens of different
itineraries.
Bill has written and
recorded a “River History Series” collection of 15 CDs which dynamically share
the history and stories connected to America’s rivers. Preview the

lectures, created multi-media presentations, and developed commentary for land
tours. Diverse topics include Alaska’s
Inside
Passage, the westward
expansion of the United
States, the
Louisiana
Purchase, the Lewis and Clark
Expedition, the Oregon
Trail, Mark Twain, the
Civil War, the plantation south, the commercial development of the rivers, a
variety of lectures on the history of steamboats and river transportation, and
more.
Bill also has developed a special presentation for corporate
events, seminars and training retreats. His motivating multimedia presentation
“Success Strategies from the Lewis and Clark Expedition” shares leadership and
teambuilding techniques gleaned from some of the greatest goal-setters and
achievers from American history.
